Hour 6 - You spin me right round baby right round

Starting the hour with a safety car for the tyre failure on the 36 Alpine Nissan and having another short safety car period for the Lotus' ejecting bodywork during this hour we have had a segmented session, 3 safety cars so far! Audi 2 and 1 swapped position during the last safety car period.

Spins are the dose of the day with plenty of cars, both front and slower running motors, turning to face the wrong way. The number 24 Oak had an impressive spin that narrowly missed the 2 Audi and the Oak 35 also spun, someone should tell those two to settle down! Or not, fascinating racing. The 49 Pecom (ran by AF Corse) P2 had his own spin as did the 61 Ferrari!

The 8 star Ferrari decided the marshals had nothing better to do than collect parts of its tyre (souvenirs anyone) before losing some rear body work and returning to the pits for repair.

The status GP driver Burgess had enough, tried to get out and had to get back into the car relap and repit.

Positions are swapping about in LMGT, Senna overtaking Lietz and Dumbreck for first place and a hopefully race long battle is developing! Three great GT drivers in two great cars!

We have been talking about the liveries, deciding that we really like the AF Corse 54 and that it has a beautiful livery - just a shame that it's so slow!

Dempsey-del Piero Proton number 77 is running well in 5th so hopefully the team will get into a podium position by the end of the race!

And just on the cusp Audi 2 driven by Loic Duval is flying out there, fastest lap so far with 3:23.269, Audi hurry up call given.

So as we enter the 7th hour we hope to see more great battles especially in GT, will order our pizzas and have some more energy drinks! We hope that you will comment on our blog and we will try to put in more expansive and informative posts from now on! Towards the race we will have unofficial awards for various things...
